In fact, many of our travelers already know and love Regent Seven Seas Cruises. And over the years, some of you have asked us a very reasonable question: Can you help us with Regent, too?

Why Regent?
Regent is an ultra-luxury cruise line with ships carrying between 496 and 850 guests—a scale that allows for plenty of space onboard while retaining a more intimate atmosphere than you’ll find on the large cruise ships sailing today.
But the size of the ships is only part of what caught our attention. What we find especially compelling is the balance Regent strikes between the experience onboard and the experience ashore.
For travelers accustomed to expedition cruising, that distinction matters.
The destination still comes first
You won’t find Zodiacs pulling up to an Antarctic beach on a Regent voyage, but you will find a cruise line that puts considerable emphasis on what happens once you step off the ship.
Unlimited shore excursions are included in the cruise fare, giving travelers the freedom to experience more in each destination without treating every excursion as another addition to the trip cost.
That philosophy opens up an enormous range of possibilities. A Regent voyage might take you along Alaska’s Inside Passage one trip and through the Mediterranean the next, or farther afield to Asia, Australia, the South Pacific, Africa, or South America. There are also longer Grand Voyages and World Cruises for travelers who have both the time and the appetite for a much bigger journey. Regent’s 2027 World Cruise, for example, spans 141 nights and 71 destinations.

A lot is taken care of before you step aboard
Luxury can mean many different things. One of the things we appreciate about Regent’s approach is that much of the experience is simply included rather than repeatedly added along the way.
All suites include unlimited shore excursions; specialty dining; fine wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty coffees; WiFi; prepaid gratuities; valet laundry; access to spa facilities; and 24-hour in-suite dining. Higher suite categories add further benefits, including pre-cruise hotel stays and personal butler service in Penthouse Suites and above.
It makes the initial fare easier to evaluate as a more complete picture of the trip—and lets you spend considerably less time thinking about what costs extra once you’re onboard.
Space matters
One of the biggest adjustments when moving from an expedition ship to a traditional cruise can simply be scale.
Regent offers an appealing middle ground. Its ships carry no more than 850 guests and are designed around spacious suites and generous public areas rather than maximizing passenger capacity.
That translates into more room to settle in, whether you’re enjoying a quiet morning on your balcony, lingering over dinner, or returning from a full day ashore. For travelers who love small-ship travel but are looking for a more leisurely and luxurious experience, we think that distinction is important.
And yes, the food matters too
A great trip should be memorable at the table as well as ashore.
Regent includes its specialty restaurants at no additional charge, along with fine wines and premium beverages throughout the voyage. Dining isn’t positioned as an occasional upgrade; it’s an integral part of the experience.
Depending on the ship, that might mean French cuisine one evening, a classic steakhouse the next, or an unhurried dinner delivered to your suite after a particularly long day of exploring.
A different kind of trip, with the same guidance
Perhaps the biggest reason we’re excited about Regent has less to do with the ships themselves and more to do with what this partnership allows us to do for you.
