Day 1
Longyearbyen, Norway

Begin the voyage by embarking in Longyearbyen, Norway.

Day 2 – 5
Spitsbergen, Norway

Explore Spitsbergen, the largest of the Norwegian-ruled Svalbard islands, a remote land of abundant wildlife and austere beauty. Visit spectacular glacier fronts and steep-walled fjords with walrus, polar bear and Spitsbergen reindeer among your possible wildlife sightings. Birders delight in Arctic terns, skuas, long-tailed ducks, kittiwakes, glaucous and ivory gulls.

Day 6 – 7
Greenland Sea

While sailing the Greenland Sea, hear fascinating facts about Greenland’s wildlife and history. Learn to identify seabirds by their different characteristics out on the boat’s deck. Share photos, sip a warming beverage in the bar or watch a movie - there are many things to enjoy during your time at sea.

Day 8 – 11
Eastern Greenland

During your tour of Greenland’s remote eastern coast, enjoy Zodiac excursions and shore visits to several locations. Visit the remains of ancient Thule settlements, and keep an eye out for grazing musk oxen, as 40% of the world’s population of this fascinating mammal lives here. Finally, sail through spectacular Scoresbysund, the birthplace of many icebergs, and—some say—the most beautiful fjord system in the world.

Day 12
Denmark Strait

At sea, the Denmark Strait is your pathway east, towards Iceland. Onboard Expedition Team members inform and entertain with presentations about the Arctic’s history of exploration as flocks of seabirds soar above the ship.

Day 13
Akureyri / Reykjavik, Iceland

Disembark in Akureyri, and transfer to your waiting charter flight to Reykjavik, Iceland’s capital, at the end of your journey.
