Antarctic Peninsula by Superyacht–Air-Cruise

Antarctica Cruise Information

Summary : Save days of open ocean sailing and avoid the Drake Passage by flying from Puerto Williams, Chile to the wildlife-rich South Shetland Islands. Upon landing on King George Island, board a bespoke superyacht and begin a custom-made expedition adventure, dictated by the captain and crew's expertise, weather conditions, and wildlife encounters. Mingle with humpback whales aboard a Zodiac; kayak through crisp, clear water; linger near colonies of parading penguins; or enjoy a late morning breakfast, mimosa, and massage before venturing leisurely ashore. You may visit legendary sites like Paradise Bay and the Lemaire Channel or stop at research stations to learn from the scientists who work on the continent. Back on board, watch a movie in the cinema, indulge in the Balinese spa, or soak in the outdoor hot tub. Day 1
Puerto Williams, Chile

Fly into Puerto Williams on your own, and in the evening enjoy dinner and a mandatory briefing before your adventure begins tomorrow morning.

Day 2 – 8
King George Island / Embark / Antarctica

Fly to King George Island and embark the superyacht.

Navigate historic waterways and visit prime sites along the Antarctic Peninsula and neighboring South Shetland Islands. Your Captain and Expedition Leader continually monitor weather and ice conditions, working together to insure you experience the best of Antarctica whether you’re exploring Paradise Bay, the Lemaire Channel, Port Lockroy, Deception Island, or the many other locations available for landings and Zodiac cruising in the region.

Sailing in the wake of the 19th century’s great explorers—Sir Ernest Shackleton, Adrien de Gerlache, Robert Falcon Scott, and Roald Amundsen (to name just a few)—you’ll photograph the same towering mountain peaks they saw, hear raucous penguin colonies as you go ashore, see dazzling shades of blue and white as you navigate bays with impressive ice sculptures, and gain a new perspective of what it takes for wildlife—from penguins and giant petrels to elephant seals and humpback whales—to thrive in the beauty of this environment.

Back on board, relax in the yacht’s many lounges, read in a quiet nook, or laugh with friends as you share your favorite photos from the day. You may choose to work out in the gym, opt for a massage, or indulge in the Balinese spa. There is also a beauty salon, cinema, and in-cabin entertainment system. On sunny days, enjoy an outdoor lunch or a soak in the hot tub.

Day 9
King George Island / Disembark / Puerto Williams

Day 10
