Embark the vessel in the afternoon and sail through the scenic Beagle Channel.
Sail across the Drake Passage and cross the Antarctic Convergence. Arrive in the Antarctic upwelling zone. You may encounter Wandering Albatrosses, Grey Headed Albatrosses, Black-Browed Albatrosses, Light-Mantled Sooty Albatrosses, Cape Pigeons, Southern Fulmars, Wilson’s Storm Petrels, Blue Petrels, and Antarctic Petrels.

Sail to 'High Antarctica', passing the Melchior Islands and the Schollaert Channel between Brabant and Anvers Island. On Cuverville Island, a small precipitous nestled between the mountains of the Antarctic Peninsula and Danco Island, find a large colony of gentoo penguins and breeding pairs of Brown Skuas. Attempt to land on Danco or Orne Island to observe chinstrap penguins and possibly weddell and crabeater seals. In Neko Harbour, set foot on the Antarctic Continent in a magnificent landscape of huge glaciers calving at sea level. Enjoy the landscape surrounded by alpine peaks during zodiac cruises. Discover Paradise Bay by zodiac with its myriad icebergs and deep cut fjords. Watch for humpback and minke Whales.
Voyage through the spectacular Lemaire Channel to Pleneau and Petermann Island and encounter adelie penguins and blue-eyed shags. In this area, there are good chances to encounter humpback, minke and fin whales.
Sailing north through Neumayer Channel or Gerlache Strait. Observe the Melchior Islands' beautiful icescapes and watch for leopard and crabeater seals and whales!
Heading north, you’ll again be followed by a great variety of seabirds while crossing the infamous Drake Passage.
Arrive in the morning in Ushuaia, disembark after breakfast and transfer to the airport.

Space is limited; request at time of booking. Special gear and field equipment will be provided including: tents, wind and waterproof bivouac bags (lightweight alternative to a tent system). This shelter will protect you from the elements during the night in the open air of Antarctica. Mattresses and polar sleeping bags provide comfort during the night. Space is limited; request at time of booking. Kayaking excursions are limited to 14 passengers. Participants will have up to four scheduled kayaking sessions during the expedition. Kayaking groups will be accompanied by two guides, one leading in a kayak and one trailing nearby in a Zodiac. Kayaking is subject to weather and prevailing ice conditions. Basic kayaking experience is required and physical fitness is essential. Kayaks, neoprene wet suits, booties and gloves are provided. Please contact ExpeditionTrips for details.
