Day 1
Sitka, Alaska / Embark

Explore beautiful Sitka, the only community in Southeast Alaska that faces the open ocean waters of the Gulf of Alaska. Visit fascinating sites that highlight the community’s rich Alaska Native and Russian history. Embark for the winding narrows north of town while searching for sea otters, bears, whales, and other wildlife. Anchor for the evening in a protected body of water in Peril Strait or eastern Baranof Island.

Day 2
Eastern Baranof Island & Baranof Warm Springs

Navigate the remote northeastern coast of Baranof Island. This region includes many intimate coves and inlets, making it ideal for exploration. Walk a beautiful rainforest path to the natural hot spring pools of Baranof Warm Springs. Here you can relax in a steaming pool while enjoying your favorite beverage and savoring the stunning wilderness.

Day 3
Frederick Sound

View entertaining Steller sea lions on their Brothers Island haul-out while scouting for humpback whales in Frederick Sound. Experience the thrill of viewing wildlife from the skiff. End the day in a remote wilderness bay. Options include Windham Bay, Hobart Bay, or Port Houghton.

Day 4
Tracy Arm-Ford’s Terror Wilderness

Journey through Tracy or Endicott Arm in the Tracy Arm-Ford’s Terror Wilderness, a place the famous naturalist, John Muir, referred to as “a wild, unfinished Yosemite.” Renowned for its pristine waterfalls, towering icebergs, abundant harbor seals, and granite cliffs that rise from sea level to 4,000 feet, this wilderness is often referred to by locals as one of the most scenic areas in the state. Both of these dramatic glacial fjords offer stunning views of tidewater glaciers. Traveling aboard the Misty Fjord provides the unique opportunity to kayak in this beautiful Alaska wilderness area.

Day 5
Wilderness Exploration

Savor the serenity of raw wilderness on an unscripted day of Southeast Alaska discovery. The options are countless, dictated by the day’s unique circumstances. Opportunities may include a coastline kayak paddle, up-close whale encounters, or a hike through an alluring old-growth forest. You may land on an unspoiled shoreline to explore a tidal flat or track along with a foraging bear from the safety of the skiff. Regardless of the activity, you’ll experience the magic of the archipelago’s many remote coves, bays, and inlets.

Day 6
Icy Strait & Glacier Bay National Park

Explore the wildlife-rich waters of Icy Strait, renowned for phenomenal humpback whale viewing. In the afternoon, sail into beautiful Glacier Bay National Park to begin your first day of extended park exploration. Unique opportunities during your voyage through Glacier Bay include a beach trek near the Reid Glacier (or other remote location), a visit to the new Huna Tribal House, and the rainforest trails surrounding Glacier Bay Lodge.

Day 7
Glacier Bay National Park

Glacier Bay National Park's remarkable fjord extends 65 miles, contains eight tidewater glaciers, and provides pristine habitat for a wide array of wildlife, including both brown and black bears, wolves, mountain goats, Steller sea lions, and humpback whales. The highlight for many is the Margerie Glacier, known for its dramatic calving displays. The Misty Fjord provides an opportunity for unsurpassed, in-depth exploration of this UNESCO world heritage site.

Day 8
Juneau, Alaska / Disembark

Disembark in Alaska’s capital city of Juneau. A transfer to your hotel or the airport is complimentary.
