Kate grew up in Issaquah, just outside of Seattle, surrounded by mountains, lakes, forests, and an abundance of wildlife. Her parents had a love for travel and adventure; family trips often included Whistler, Canada and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. As a student at Washington State University, she traveled to Australia for a summer filled with wildlife conservation and extreme sports. Her wanderlust spurred moves to Boise, Idaho, San Francisco, California, and Madrid, Spain, where she taught and traveled widely throughout Europe. From riding a camel through the Sahara Desert to a Berber camp in the middle of the night, spelunking in Budapest, scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef, or swimming with dolphins in Puerto Vallarta, the world continues to prove how magical it is through Kate's travel experiences. She is happy to be back in Washington State combining two passions: travel and helping others with expedition trips. When not planning her next trip, you can find Kate snowboarding, reading next to her rabbit, Fiona, and reacquainting herself with the beautiful city of Seattle.
