As a native of Seattle and a Washington State University graduate, Jess’s Pacific Northwest roots run deep. Hometown proud but a traveler at heart, her first forays away from the comforts of home included rebuilding orphanages in Mexico and backpacking through France. Jess spent a couple years working in the Outdoor Recreation Center, inspiring students to get outside and connect to the environment and outdoor adventure, until wanderlust called again. Buying a one-way ticket to Costa Rica led to living at an eco-resort on the ocean, spontaneously heading to Panama, and—based on a coin-flip—eventually landing in Colombia. She has done a triple backflip out of an airplane, rafted rapids in the middle of a lightning storm with a guide named Redbull, driven quads through the jungles of Nicaragua, jumped off waterfalls, and ridden up a winding mountain road on top of a safari Jeep only to fly down the other side on a mountain bike. Her passion for adventure and travel led her to ExpeditionTrips, where she has the privilege of helping others plan their dream trips every day! When she isn’t working, Jess can be found rock climbing, biking, snowboarding, cooking, or taking photos.
