Galapagos Tours Guide
Galapagos tours are often referred to as enchanting. Located in the Pacific Ocean, just off the Ecuadorian coast, the Galapagos region is filled with islets, volcanic islands, and rocky areas that are home to some of the most beautiful sights in the world.
When planning your Galapagos tour, you will need to give some thought to the time of year you would like to visit. Many people expect the area to be tropical year around; however, this is not the case. The climate does tend to be tropical from January through May, with temperatures that are warm but pleasant.
During this time of year, the islands are at their most beautiful; a vivid green set against the backdrop of an azure blue sky. From June to August the weather on Galapagos tours tends to be somewhat cooler, and is even misty much of the time. The vegetation during this time of year dries up and is not as lush as at other times.
Most visitors traveling to the Galapagos decide to take Galapagos cruises. This is by far the most popular way to visit the region. If you do elect to take a Galapagos cruise, you can still take scuba diving tours as well as land based day tours to get the most out of your visit to this lush and beautiful region.
The length of Galapagos tours can vary; however, if you want to experience everything the Galapagos has to offer you should plan to take a cruise that will last at least six days. Galapagos cruises of this length will allow you sufficient time to snorkel with the colorful and varied sea life in the region, and even take land tours as well.
A Galapagos cruise is something that simply should not be missed.
