Singapore Christens the Silver Discoverer
We are excited to announce that the Silver Discoverer was christened in Singapore this week marking the city-state’s first christening in 20 years, making for a grand day of celebration! This adventurous and luxurious vessel accommodates 128 guests and over the coming months will sail the waters of Micronesia, Melanesia, Polynesia, the Russian Far East, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
The Silver Discoverer will allow travelers to explore these beautiful, pristine and remote regions in the utmost comfort and expedition style. Featuring 12 Zodiac landing craft to allow for shore landings in some of the most secluded and remote locations the Silver Discoverer is also equipped with a glass-bottom boat for guests to enjoy up-close views of unique marine life. Each voyage will be staffed by an expedition team of highly-qualified expert naturalists and lecturers, including a dive master, who will interpret along the way.
Diving and snorkeling are included in the rates for voyages to Southeast Asia and the South Pacific, activities which will help create memories to last a lifetime. Observe colorful coral polyps, striking reef fans and striped clownfish nestled amongst vibrant sea anemones. Glide along with sea turtles and listen to the sounds of Parrotfish chomping on coral as schools of shimmering reef fish dart past. Divers must be advanced certified, and non-divers with enjoy swimming and snorkeling in these destinations–some of the best in the world.

Bering Sea: Russia to Alaska – Enjoy a 13 day authentic expedition experience highlighting Russia’s Far East and remote corners of Alaska with the opportunity to ride a dogsled, explore villages, meet local people, and observe reindeer on their annual pilgrimage to the water’s edge.
