Day 1:
Ushuaia, Argentina
Arrive in Ushuaia. Transfer to your hotel and meet your fellow adventurers. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 2:
Ushuaia and Beagle Channel
Following breakfast, join an excursion which concludes at the ship. Embark the Andrea in the afternoon and set sail through the scenic Beagle Channel to Antarctica.
Day 3:
At Sea
At Sea, bound for the Falkland Islands.
Days 4-5:
Falkland Islands
Make wildlife viewing landings at West Point and Carcass Islands for Magellanic, Gentoo and Rockhopper penguins, albatross and blue-eyed shag. Your visit will also include the town of Stanley, a bit of old England in the South Atlantic.
Days 6-7:
At Sea
At Sea, heading for the South Georgia Islands.
Days 8-11:
South Georgia
Amidst some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world, go ashore for huge rookeries of King and Gentoo penguins and thousands of Southern Elephant and fur seals. You'll also explore the once-thriving whaling station of Grytviken and visit Shackleton's gravesite.
Day 12:
At Sea
At Sea, heading for the Antarctic Peninsula.
Day 13:
At Sea
At Sea and Shingle Cove, South Orkney Island.
Days 14-17:
Antarctica Peninsula
Depending on weather and ice conditions, the captain and expedition team will direct the vessel to a variety of destinations to optomize Zodiac landings and wildlife viewing opportunities, including Cuverville Island, Port Lockroy, Paradise Bay, Lemaire Channel, Neko harbor and Peterman Island, among others.
Days 18-19:
At Sea
At Sea, returning to Ushuaia.
Day 20:
Ushuaia
Disembark following breakfast, and transfer to the airport.
