ExpeditionTrips Spotlighted in Travel + Leisure's '28 Trips of a Lifetime'
Travel + Leisure

SEATTLE, WA, October 3, 2011— Ashton Palmer, President of ExpeditionTrips, has been recognized by Travel + Leisure as an expert on travel to Antarctica.  Palmer's impressive travel resume, which encompasses more than 50 trips to the white continent, garnered him the recognition.

During his 50-plus expeditions to Antarctica, “Palmer has played almost every role: Zodiac driver; naturalist; expedition leader."  Travel + Leisure's Lisa Cheung adds that "in addition to tailoring your itinerary," Palmer can also "serve as an expert on topics ranging from the most stylish rubber boots to the best time to rise to see icebergs in summer’s orange light.”

Antarctica spotlighted in Travel + Leisure's "28 trips of a lifetime" is further testament to the natural wonder of the white continent.  Featured in their 40th Anniversary Collector's Edition are suggestions and tips on how to turn this once-in-a-lifetime expedition into a reality. Palmer is honored to be recognized as an expert on Antarctica travel. After two decades of fieldwork in Antarctica, the Arctic, Amazon, and other remote destinations, he still considers the white continent "the ultimate destination for expedition travelers."

For Palmer, Antarctica is "like visiting another planet without leaving earth." Since 1999, Palmer's passion has been helping travelers plan once-in-a-lifetime experiences to the last frontiers of the world. Planning these “Trips of a Lifetime” is the core value and energy behind his Seattle company, ExpeditionTrips.  Made up of avid-travelers and retired Peace Corps volunteers, the ET team takes pride in hearing about the travel experiences that “Wow” even the most experienced trekkers. Ashton is honored that customer feedback in relation to Antarctica is resoundingly "a life-changing adventure."
