Boutique-style cruising in the Galapagos Islands

Discovering the Galapagos Islands by small ship allows for optimal exploration of this diverse archipelago with opportunities to hike ashore, snorkel, kayak, enjoy Zodiac (panga) tours, and simply relax on the sun deck of your home-away-from-home.

One of our favorite small ships in the islands is the elegant 48-passenger Eclipse. This “boutique-style” vessel was carefully designed to provide guests with ample social areas and cabin space, while simultaneously preserving the ambience and exclusivity of a smaller yacht.

The Eclipse features beautifully-appointed and spacious staterooms with sea views and complimentary robes. On the weather deck, guests can enjoy shaded al fresco dining up to 15 times a week—a popular highlight—and the lovely sun deck, complete with Jacuzzi, is perfect for relaxing in the sun by day and stargazing by night.

“The ship was excellent, just as promised. Very clean, nice sized cabins and bathrooms with good storage space. Food was very good with great variety and beautifully presented. The staff was very well organized, knowledgeable and helpful." - Sue & Larry B. of Santa Barbara, CA

We've heard consistent glowing feedback from our travelers about the quality of Naturalist guides and onboard service, as well as the itinerary, which includes Española, known for its abundant and varied bird life, and Fernandina, one of the least visited islands and home to Galapagos penguins, flightless cormorants and a large colony of marine iguanas.

Guests don't have to worry about paying extra for snorkel gear and wetsuits, nor is there a charge for medical services and medicine from the onboard doctor. An excellent option for families, the Eclipse offers special family departures, making it easier and more fun for all ages to get the most out of the adventure (see below).
