There are many exciting updates to report from our team here at ExpeditionTrips! We’re pleased to share our 2012 adventures with you from our home city of Seattle to the Galapagos Islands, and many places in between.

ExpeditionTrips’ founder, Ashton Palmer, just came back from a delightful two-week trip exploring the Galapagos Islands and mainland Ecuador with his wife and four children. From swimming with sea lions to coming face-to-face with a 150-year old giant tortoise, they had a remarkable adventure on the islands! Learn more about this amazing trip by reading Ashton’s Travel Journal!

We celebrated a decade of hard work from our outstanding Director of Marketing, Amelia Tockston, at ExpeditionTrips on March 14, 2012! We are so proud of what Amelia has accomplished so far and look forward to what lies ahead in the years to come. Congratulations on your milestone achievement, Amelia! You’re invaluable to the team.

Our dedicated and wonderful Accounts Manager, Betsy Forbes, will be departing in April for an amazing three-week-long European vacation with her husband Ben! She’s most excited to see her son Max, who is currently studying abroad at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH) in Switzerland. They will also be visiting Prague, Rome, and trekking the Amalfi Coast for one week! She’s hard at work logging in her miles in preparation for all the hikes on the horizon.

This summer, look for us in several exciting events in the Seattle area! Our amazing Sales Manager, Mary Bergan, will be coaching a “Couch to 5K” class for novice runners. On top of that, she will be participating in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Seattle Half Marathon this June with other ExpeditionTrips crew: Emily Chase and Jennifer Santoyo. In addition, Ashton Palmer, Jennifer Santoyo, and Leslie Holgate will be participating in the popular Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic in July. Hope to see you out there!

Charity Challenge kicked off its inaugural year on January 1, 2012. This is an opportunity for the employees at ExpeditionTrips to take on the New Year with a commitment to personal health and wellness while making a difference within our community. The challenge: Log 5,000 miles over the course of 2012! The team can accumulate miles through a variety of means, including walking, running, biking, snowshoeing, or hiking. Upon reaching our goal, ExpeditionTrips will donate $1,250 to the West Seattle Food Bank. As of March 20, we have already accumulated 685 miles! Follow us on Facebook as we log our miles.
