Day 1
Bodo, Norway
Begin the expedition today, embarking from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Onboard your expedition vessel, meet your experienced crew and fellow travelers, and settle in to life onboard.
Day 2
Leknes, Norway
Visit Leknes, a town located in the Lofoten archipelago. View its picturesque natural surroundings of mountainous peaks.
Day 3
Tromso, Norway
The great city of the Far North was founded in the 13th century and became the region’s ancient whaling capital. It is encircled by wilderness to this day and has a rich architectural and historical heritage; the wooden houses of the old quarter are unusual traditional dwellings that date back to the 17th century. Tromsø also has one of the finest examples of contemporary Scandinavian architecture: don’t overlook a visit to the Arctic Cathedral, which sits facing the old town like a proud lighthouse. The building’s audaciously distinctive lines are also reminiscent of a grand white ship and its architectural style symbolizes the strength of the Arctic seas’ pack ice. The building includes a highly unusual glass mosaic on the eastern side and the cathedral also boasts one the largest bay windows in Europe.
Day 4
At Sea
Spend today exploring at sea and enjoy time to take advantage of onboard amenities. Relax in the spa, read in the library, workout in the fitness center, enjoy a gourmet meal, or watch the incredible views from the panoramic lounge.
Day 5 – 7
Svalbard
Discover the wonders of Svalbard. You may explore Isbukta, Hornsund, and Bellsund.
Day 8
Longyearbyen, Norway
Conclude the expedition today and disembark in Longyearbyen.
