At age 18, Ashton left his native town of Sutton Coldfield, England, with a one-way ticket to Australia via Bangkok. He has never looked back. Since then, Ashton has pursued his childhood dreams of travel all over the world, along the way becoming an expedition leader, guide, naturalist, conservationist, Zodiac driver, bird-watcher, and photographer. Prior to starting ExpeditionTrips, he spent nearly a decade in the field, working on conservation and travel projects and leading expeditions from the Arctic to the Antarctic and most places in between. Ashton has traveled to Antarctica over 50 times, worked on icebreakers in the Arctic, explored the Amazon, South Pacific and the Galapagos Islands, to name a few. In addition, Ashton worked for such organizations as the Wildlife Conservation Society and the National Geographic Society.

What My Clients Are Saying
“My every expectation was exceeded, beginning with [Ashton’s] absolute desire to make this trip a truly memorable and personalized experience for me. What struck me as extraordinary was that, without exception, every single one of 'Ashton's Antarctic Adventurers' (as we began calling ourselves) on board the ship, had nothing but praise and considerable appreciation for your superb all-round professionalism and fantastic service in planning, executing, delivering and following up on the trip.” - Shubha C; London, UK
